This vase is a collectible object imagined within a speculative future where, by 2050, the mechanic's profession has become a distant memory. Inspired by decorative objects depicting forgotten professions, the project asks what kind of artifact might preserve the memory of the mechanic once the profession no longer exists.
Throughout history, vases and amphorae have preserved traces of civilizations, becoming witnesses to how people lived, worked, and produced. Here, the vase serves as a vessel for cultural memory.
Made from aluminum, it draws on the material language of the automotive industry while reinterpreting a familiar domestic object. This vase transforms the figure of the mechanic into a contemporary collectible, reflecting on memory, inheritance, and the enduring value of manual knowledge and craftsmanship.
