Jar Skidding 2 is a reinterpretation of the archetypal jar, combining a familiar shape with the unexpected material and texture of a tire. The project explores the contrast between fragility and resistance, craft and industry. By using rubber, the jar becomes soft, flexible and resistant to impact, challenging our expectations of a traditionally fragile object. It can be used as a container while inviting the user to question its material, function and behaviour.
Materials : Rubber - elastic hydrocarbon polymers combination (tinted in the mass).
